Charleston International Airport is a public and military airport serving South Carolina in the United States. The airport lies in Charleston County and serves as a gateway to the Historic District and well-maintained Charleston. The airport offers 124 daily flights to 14 prime destinations. The airport can be reached through taxi services downtown shuttles and cheap car hire at the Charleston Airport.

The airport offers non-stop services going to destinations such as Cleveland, Orlando and Fort Lauderdale. The airport operates a single main terminal, which has two concourses where flights depart. Concourse A has five gates termed as Gates A1 through A5, while Concourse B also has five gates, B1 through B5 although Gate B5 is exclusive for international flights, but is currently not in use. The airport terminal has three levels each, equipped with basic amenities for the waiting passengers. Public parking is very sufficient with over 3,679 vehicle slots. Car rental agencies are represented in the airport and offer a wide range of services and vehicle choices.

The airport can be reached through taxis, which cater to destinations within boundary lines. These boundary lines include the international Boulevard through South Aviation, South Aviation through the Aviation Avenue, the Aviation Avenue through the Rivers Avenue, the Rivers Avenue through the Montague Avenue, the Montague Avenue through the Ashley River and Ashley River through the AFB/ Hunley Park. Rates may vary according to destination and number of passengers. Downtown shuttles are another option with destinations going to Downtown Charleston. Shuttles rides are shared and may take stops to several points depending on the number and the destinations of the passengers. Budget car rental is probably the most convenient option and are available at the airport terminal.
