Wroclaw Airport will soon be one of Europe's largest airports once the current expansion is completed and that is scheduled for 2011. Then, the current annual passenger capacity of two million is expected to increase to seven million. Extra car parking spaces will be created also.

The airport is 10kms from the city centre and though public transport is available, car rental is a preferred option for many. The Arrivals hall and the Departures hall are located on the same level, and reached via the same main entrance.

Cheap car hire at Wroclaw Airport is straightforward with most of the major international chains operating right inside the terminal entrance. Nearby are plenty of ATM machines, currency exchange facilities and retail outlets such as restaurants, cafés, bars and duty-free shops offer good variety.

The city itself has been called ‘the Flower of Europe' due to its concentration of several different regional cultural influences. Polish, Czech, German, Hungarian, Russian and Jewish populations have all left an impact on the life of the city and some of the cultural attractions are deservedly famous. The Raclawice Panorama and the Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist are two of the most popular attractions with visitors.
