Difference between Excess Cover and Zero Excess.

Basic insurance includes CDW (damage insurance) and TP (theft insurance) with an excess for which you are responsible in case of damage or theft. To cover this excess, you can choose between Zero Excess or Excess Cover.

By adding Zero Excess to your reservation, you have protected your excess through the rental company. This means that damage or theft charges will be directly taken over by the rental company in accordance with the insurance conditions, so in most cases you do not need to pay anything out of pocket.

By adding Excess Cover to your reservation, you have protected your excess via Carhiresaving.co.uk. This means that you first have to pay any damage costs to the rental company after which we will reimburse you for these costs in accordance with the insurance conditions.
